Golf....It's Our Nature!
Welcome to Tierra Verde Golf Club
It's hard to find a more beautiful course than the award-winning Tierra Verde Golf Club. Tierra Verde is the first golf course in Texas and the first municipal course in the world to be certified as an Audubon Signature Sanctuary. Walk onto the first tee and enter an environment where golf and nature come together in harmony. Opened in 1998, and carved from 250 acres of secluded terrain, the course's unsurpassed layout encompasses a variety of natural settings and offers an outstanding playing experience on every hole.
Tierra Verde was named the top golf course in the DFW Metroplex in 2012 by Avid Golfer magazine (public rankings - premium category).
Each hole has five sets of tees, sculpted fairways, strategically placed sand bunkers and water hazards - all accented by stately trees and beautiful native grasses. But there's even more to enjoy.
The facility features a state-of-the-art golf learning center, a lighted driving range, three-hole practice course and large chipping and putting green complex. Also offered are lessons and clinics taught by PGA/LPGA professionals and apprentices, an outdoor pavilion and full-service restaurant, Ventana Grille, that complement every event from small corporate outings to large fundraising tournaments.
Welcome to Chester W. Ditto Golf Course
Named after life-long resident of Arlington Chester W. Ditto, Ditto Golf Course is located in north Arlington, just 15 minutes from the DFW airport and near the heart of Arlington's Entertainment District, featuring the Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys and Six Flags. As a long-standing favorite among golfers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Ditto is 18-holes of challenging golf blending plush fairways narrowed by trees and accented with strategically placed sand bunkers and landing areas. A driving range, practice putting green and chipping area are offered to complete one's golfing experience. The clubhouse offers snack bar concessions and a full line pro shop with today's most popular equipment and apparel. Ditto also offers tournaments and private and group lessons taught by PGA Professionals and Apprentices.
Arlington Golf at the Chester W. Ditto Golf Course
The city of Arlington has started pumping recycled water for landscape irrigation at three locations in the northern part of the city. Ditto Golf Course is one of these locations. Reclaimed water is highly treated wastewater that is now being pumped into Arlington from the Village Creek Water Reclamation Facility in Forth Worth. This non-potable water supply meets the water quality standards established by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). Learn how Arlington is using reclaimed water at www.arlingtontx.gov/reclaimedwater .
Welcome to Lake Arlington Golf Course
Recently redesigned in summer of 2008, the Lake Arlington Golf Course, a Ralph Plummer design, is a traditional 18 hole, par 71 facility that sits on 185 acres. The course offers challenging golf along with a practice putting green and chipping area at an exceptional value. Lake Arlington Golf Course blends open and tree-lined fairways, long challenging par 3's and scenic greens to appeal to every level of player. It has a longstanding commitment to environmental enhancement and preservation. The clubhouse offers a full line pro shop, club repair and a small cafe with patio seating that overlooks the 18th hole. Lake Arlington's time honored design is the perfect location for tournaments, outings and fundraisers.
We will be moving to temporary greens effective May 21 during our transition to Champion ultradwarf bermudagrass on all 18 holes. This durable strain maintains high density during extreme temperatures and at low mowing heights, delivering smooth, consistent putting surfaces throughout the year. The Champion ultradwarf provides top-quality conditions on an everyday basis and is much more cold tolerant than the previous variety. The strain has been successfully installed at some of the top golf courses in Texas and around the country.
